to look nice

This question is for Rob Gridley. How do you manage to make your art look clean? As a clean background.

Hmm, I dunno, I just scan my stuff ^^;
What sorta paper do ya use?

ordinary paper ^^; . But my art doesn't look clean.

Hmm, I can't work out what could be wrong then, do you close the lense when you scan?

Yes. What type of utencils do you use to draw and color?

To draw out the outlines, I use drawing pencils, then to colour I either use washable felt markers or colour pencils. Then I go over the outlines with a black fine-liner.
